We show several scenarios made possible with Mgestyk custom gesture-based control by Mgestyk Technologies. More at http://www.mgestyk.com

We also reveal a "Minority Report"-like environment called "UC-IC". It's a collaborative web-based workspace with multi-touch support. More at http://www.uc-ic.com

What a gimmick and so lame. How many seconds lag time was it from firing the gun with your hand to it actually happening on screen.

My God, I can't actually believe a real gamer would even consider this as a viable alternative to a mouse/keyboard setup it's so pathetic.

Agreed, the input lag is horrible. It's worse than my PS3 with game-mode off on the tv.

No kidding.

Lets see it give me 30+ functions and zero (I mean ZERO) input lag.

What a joke.

Interesting concept but its completely impractical.

Neat, but it's got a long way to go yet.

Huge latency from gesture to screen in that video, and it's like having a 1dpi input device - no hope of precise movements.

200 ? I donīt see any lag .. well , maybe in Crysis, but is the framerate :D

Even if it had 0 lag, I would never want to play a game like that, how retarded.

No. Driving on anything else than wheel sukcs.

You have to be kidding me.

Watch when someone moves their hand, and then watch how long it takes the game to respond.

That is lag.

I agree, while it looks promising but lag is pretty bad. The website mentioned about this problem in FAQ.

"Why is there a delay in some of the examples?

I just want holograms that you can interact with, maybe in a hundred years?

And like the internet, it will only be useful for porn.

For gaming yes, but for normal uses It would be really nice. Just being able to navigate your desktop or websites would be so nice.

Wow, you guys are so jaded. This is fantastic. When I connect my PC to my HDTV this would really useful.

The flight sim control looked really promising.

Jaded? About what? :p

How can anyone possibly play a game with a full second of lag between their input and the game action? You might as well be telling someone else what button to hit. :p

Is that what it's like to run Ubuntu?

Those movements are not nearly as simple as a flick of the mouse, imagine trying to browse the internet like that.

Yeah, trying to click on a link by floating your hand around in front of your webcam would be... awkward.

Which reminds me. This is supposed to look like a "peripheral free" input device, but you still need to have a webcam hooked up and aimed just right to make this work.

The idea will be refined and changed by many. The end product will never look like the one shown here. However, the easiness of using a mouse with so little effort, will be the limiting factor for something like this to replace it. People will like it for specific uses but not to replace mouse.
