I wouldn't say that. Warriors have always been one of the top, if not the top classes in arena. During season 3 they were top, 4 they were second only to rogues, druids (the class everybody seems to complain the most about) being third the whole time. Oddly enough you never hear anybody cry to nerf warriors.
The reason why is warriors only get good when they have top gear. They more than any other class are gear dependent.

I've actually been able to carry warriors to 1800 ratings pretty easy even if they have sh*tty gear. All they really need to do is use mortal strike, sword and board when I tell them to, and I can make our team easily outlast most other teams.
Just to put that into perspective, blizzard designed the arena ladder so that only 30% of all players can make it above 1600 ratings in the typical battlegroup.

If you think about it though, during season 1-4, what healer would never even consider bringing a shaman, hunter, mage, priest, or paladin to a 2v2? With rare exceptions, you just don't bring these. However they'd definitely bring along a warrior, rogue, or warlock. Warriors were definitely top pick for any resto druid, holy paladin, or resto shaman. Rogues were top for holy priests.

Oh I have only been in about 4 arena fights. I hate arenas with a passion. I like the free and open world PVP and BGs. Arenas are too much about competition. I'm all about killing. If I could kill my own faction I would. :D

& BC was better than the original ><. They always improve everything.
Any improvements to the graphics tho?
I do hope that was sarcasm, TBC ruined WOW for me. It has a terrible atmosphere compared to the original game and the game has more elitist wankers in it now then when I first left.

No, it's accurate. This, along with the fact that it doesn't include a hard root, is why I don't use that for pvp. I always use bear charge. Besides, even if I did use cat charge, I can always go bear and take advantage of the fact that it will never be a cd longer than 15 sec.
And I'll break both of them. Hell you could put me in a third, fourth, or even fifth one and I'll break them too :D But to be honest I really won't need that many.
Actually no. The changes to cat form make your energy static now. Your energy always charges regardless whether you are in cat form or not, and the furor talent determines how much of your energy you keep (up to 100, which all ferals will have.) So shapeshifting no longer reduces the amount of damage you'll do, save for the global cooldown, but cat forms global cooldown is 1 second, which is shorter than a mages 1.5 second.
The only one that would concern me at all is deep freeze, but all that means is now I have a reason to use my pvp trinket while fighting a mage. Throughout the entire fight you will not be moving fast enough that I can actually ignore most of your slows/frostbolts/etc anyways. The only thing I need to actively break is the novas to avoid the shatter, which is easily done.
We get to use Deep Freeze way more often than you get to use your trinket. Deep Freeze is on a 30 second CD. Trinket is 2 min. We also have fingers of frost. That means we get a shatter combo even if your not frozen. As a frost mage I love it when someone trinkets (or in your case shapeshifts) out of a frostbite proc only to get blasted with an shatter combo 1 second later. We also have Icy Veins which with all my haste gear lowers Frostbolt to a 1.8s cast and won't let you push it back. We also have Ice Barrier which is 5k of damage mitigation at 80 that we can use every 30 seconds. And I hope you have quick reactions because every time you manage to break the barrier you'll be in a nova.
You have S4 gear so I'm sure you are quite good, but all I'm saying is mages are really strong now.

You do realize that thanks to new talents, Cone of Cold now slows you down by 70% movement speed? IMHO Chilled to the Bone (another 10% movement reduction) was the biggest buff to frost.

I don't even need that much time. :D

And shapeshifting removes all 70% of it :D But all I am saying here is that your movement speed won't be fast enough for you to leave my melee range in any reasonable amount of time, whether I shapeshift out of it or not. I don't powershift unless I need to, and I don't need to powershift while my target is in my melee range, regardless of whether I have a movement debuff or not. And besides, being in cat form I am permanently at +50% run speed. I don't know how movement impairing effects subtract from speed buffs, but no matter how I can figure it I would end up with greater than -50% movement speed at all times.

If you want a DPS match, I'll pop icy veins and beat you every time. Druids don't win by out DPSing anyone (unless your opponent is badly outgeared). They win by outlasting. If I can stop you from getting a heal off, I win. If you get one off I lose. It's all about saving counterspell and Deep Freeze for the right circumstances.

I am a feral these days, I don't heal. What I'll do is keep you either stunlocked or I'll constantly be moving around you causing you to get persistent "your target must be in front of you" nags when you try to cast spells. This is much easier for a feral to do than any other melee spec. I greatly reduce the amount of DPS that you are capable of while putting very few (if any) hindrances on my own.
The only way you can possibly prevent this is by turning around and running, however by doing that you further open yourself up to shreds which are my main nuke (and believe me ever since the last patch they hit very hard now.)
If you manage to on occasion cause delays to my damage output for say one or two seconds, its not a huge deal because during that time I was getting 10-20 more energy for yet more burst. For you it is a big deal though, time is not on your side to the extent that it is on mine.

warlock's probably the weakest overall class in PvP these days. Love the new mage armor that makes every warlock DoT completely useless.

Seriously Zelda are you 14 years old? :captnkill: Not everything in life and especially gaming is "YOU SUCK AND I PWN". It is about hanging out and having fun with friends on the internets.
I simply don't like arenas. Also I don't mind getting ownd. When you rez you get full health and mana in BGs and my ego isn't so great that I can't handle being killed in a video game.

TBH arena isn't my favorite either. I mainly just do it to get better gear to grief allies with.

The problem I have with arenas is it takes a lot of coordination. You have to really get to know the other players and work out strategies to be successful. That is something that I am not willing to put the time and effort into. I just like hopping in a BG or wolf PVP. I like it very much open and free form. As I said I'll kill anything that is red, unless they killing other mobs. I always wait till they have full health. THEN IS SMASH THEIR FACES IN! :D
How are the death knights turning out in PVP?

It depends. If I want to actually fight them, then yes. However if I want to have fun and grief them...then no :D
And believe me I have many ways of griefing allies, many of which don't involve actually killing them, and are much more fun and annoying than doing so :D

I'm not into griefing. I do like a fair fight. I don't have a problem with a stealth ganking. I just prefer to play it straight up. I like to smash them into the ground as quickly as possible.
I do like it when a feral drood comes along to gank me and I take him down in 3 hits. LOL! It doesn't always work that way. Some times I'm stun locked to death. Thats cool, its all part of the game.

Weak or not, it's still my favorite class. It was more fun waaay back when conflag was a 1.5 sec cast. <3 Drakedog ><(nana2)

Dude, even with the nerfs, Ret paladins are still the most ridiculous class in the game right now. I'm not saying mages are weak (we are very strong now), but Ret is still the number one class for PvP. I can't imagine how a mage/other class will manage to beat Ret/Ret or Ret/DK in arenas.
As far as how to counter, learn to bubble quicker. And learn to use Blessing of Freedom when they cast Slow on you. Getting rid of snares will reduce their damage output by 12% as we have a talent that increases damage when you are snared. And if you are 70 running around in greens and blues of course you are going to get killed by a better geared mage. Get some epix.
Getting epic level 70 pvp gear just isnt worth it with the little activity there is in battlegrounds atm.I got the merciless gladiator greatsword last night ,took ages to get it with 40 AV tokens and 27000 honorpoints. The problem is in my battlegroup is that Allys still play AV and horde doesnt so theres like 10-20 vs 35-40 every game = loss every time.
ill park this alt and level my main to 80 instead and come back to it later. There's crafted blue pvp gear you can buy at AH now, savage saronite plate for level 78 with 50-65 resiliance per piece. They will work until ive saved up for the next seasons pvp gear at level 80.I just wanted the sword and the boots since those were the weakest pieces i had before.
