Sorry guys, each of the shooters only gets one round, the unlucky one gets a blank.

Hell yes, that is my state man. Support firing squad all the way, death row inmates made the choice, lethal injection or firing squad, they chose firing squad. Their decision:thumbsup:

Well... IF you are gonna have capital punishment I can't see why not use firingsquads. It's simple and efficent. I don't understand why it would cause anymore protests than any other execution.
It's simple and efficent.
Not always, sometimes the guy survives and suffers until the overseer finishes him off. Getting shot isn't like on TV. You don't just go "ugh", hold your stomach, then pass out and die.
I think its a barbaric form of execution. If you have firing squads you may aswell bring back the gullotine, though I think the gullotine is more humane.

So basically this guy might have a chance to hold himself together while he dies, somehow I can't see this as a bad thing since he stabbed one of his victims over 40 times...
This is one of those rare areas that the punishment definately fits the crime.

Well...
I read here: http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/ that all of the execution methods used in the USA can and sometimes do go rather wrong...
Also, when I said it was efficent, mainly thought from the state's point of view, you don't need alot of special equippment.
I suppose you could increase the number of gunmen to reduce the risk of the prisoner suffering..

That brins a good question, what caliber weapons are they using?
Now I'm wondering what kind of hole 4 .50 rounds would leave....

On that deathpenalty site, it says they are using .30 caliber rifles.

heck, just take any caliber round, drill em' if they don't got hollowpoints, carefully insert the nitro glycerine in the cavity at the projectile part of the round and seal the package at the top with candle wax and you can be sure nobody will be getting back up or even living to suffer for any length of time.

except the nitro will explode in the gun...

Firing squads have been largely abandoned not because of concerns for the inmate, but because of the psychological impact on the shooters themselves. In Utah, they hand out one less live round then there are gunman. The last round is a blank. In theory, it allows each man to believe he fired the blank.
Personally, I think we should hang the bastards.
