I'd pay the extra 5usd and get the Evga for the lifetime warranty, StepUp, and official support of end user overclocking and HSF replacement. These card rock manually overclocked to 660-700.

The 13% increase in SP's gives a real world gain of about 7%, give or take depending on the application. Keep in mind that 7% scales with the clock speed, so a good overlock really makes them shine. My overclocked 216 model is a bit faster than a GTX 280. From what I have seen the cores will do 700+ quite easily, though it's harder to get memory bandwidth on par with a 280, as you need the memory running at 2500Mhz for that. I went for the superclocked model as they seem to be binned higher.

I think there's like a $30 difference over at Newegg between the 192 and 216. If one could stretch it, I'd go for the 216, but that's now always possible. I mean, hell, the 192 sure beats the hell out of my 9800GTX. :o

I always see reviewers questioning why they used the "216" moniker rather than a new name like GTX 265, but I'm willing to bet it's so they did not have to print new boxes, as all they do is slap on a "Core 216" sticker.

That a great price .If you need a power supply that will run two of them then Thermaltake makes a 450watt vga power supply that fits in one DVD drive bay and it just cost $69.It puts out 37.5 amps.The reason I know it will work just fine is because I am running two BFG GTX 280 OCX clocked at 665/1458/2400 in SLI and it works perfect.

Its really not as much as some might make it out to be. I did a mixed SLI comparison with the 192 and 216 cards. And the performance was a little bit better. These days people can make 10% seem like 100 FPS :)

People can say what they will about the 216's not being "much" better than the 192's. All I can say is from my experience w/ my EVGA card it rocks. The OC I can reach is simply amazing. I've settled for a "modest" OC (see sig), and it runs everything maxed out.(nana2)

NOTE: I've run Crysis w/ custom cfg (very high w/o the performance hit) @ 1680x1050 on a 22" monitor and get a steady 28 fps on average. That's with the natural mod installed as well......simply amazing!

So you had zero issues with a vanilla GTX 260 being in SLi with one using 126SP? No stutter or odd issues?
