To the Tabula Rasa Community,

Last November we launched what we hoped would be a ground breaking sci-fi MMO. In many ways, we think we've achieved that goal. Tabula Rasa has some unique features that make it fun and very different from every other MMO out there. Unfortunately, the fact is that the game hasn't performed as expected. The development team has worked hard to improve the game since launch, but the game never achieved the player population we hoped for.

So it is with regret that we must announce that Tabula Rasa will end live service on February 28, 2009.

Before we end the service, we'll make Tabula Rasa servers free to play starting on January 10, 2009.

We can assure you that through the next couple of months we'll be doing some really fun things in Tabula Rasa, and we plan to make staying on a little longer worth your while. For more details about what we are doing for Tabula Rasa players, please click here.

Stay tuned for more information. We thank you for your loyal support of the game and encourage you to take us up on the benefits we're offering Tabula Rasa players.

The Tabula Rasa Team

This game was the worst MMO I ever touched. I truly want my money back.

I think with the massive failures lately in the MMO world, there may be a lot less to choose from in the near future, who the hell wants to invest 4-5 years not to mention millions of dollars, just to go against whatever juggernaut Blizzard cooks up?

The problem with most of them is that they don't bring anywhere near the level of polish to a game that Blizzard has. Bugs and exploits are oversights that are to be expected. Crappy engine, gameplay, GUI, and lack of updates is another. Tabula Rasa had all of those issues.

The games that work at improving themselves and bring something decent to the table do well. I'd say LOTRO and WAR will probably be around a while with WoW because they don't have those issues and are good games unlike many others that have popped up lately.

I played the BETA for 10 minutes. What wonderful crap it was.

What you think of Age of Conan and D&D MMORPGs?

it makes me happy to see that not just any game with a lameass witch/wizard/sorcery backstory can make it in the MMO genre. it restores my confidence in PC gamers.

the worst part is that they expected ppl to pay and it totally **** the bed

I never played D&D, but AoC was pretty good until level 20.

I would like to see an MMO based off NWN, keep the combat system but remove the pausing aspect and keep the art and world... That would be a dnd mmo done right... not that click happy DDO crap (where multiclassing is as broken as gibs ass).
