No, a great PSU is an investment that will outlast your current hardware . . .at 1200 watt PSU should last you for at least a good three years or so . . .

I meant that TRI SLI was a waste of $$$ imo. A good psu is a must and i have done several builds so I undertand the importance of that area.

Oh . . .yeah . . .they do not scale perfectly . . .best bang for the buck at the moment is Crossfire X 4870 X2s . . .

Actually, the best bang for the buck is single GPU. A single 260 is the cheapest and most sensible route to go right now, IMO, with a PC library full of console ports.

This coming from someone who had CrossfireX just a short time ago. All that power isn't needed for anything other than Crysis (Again, IMO, and even then two X2s scale horribly in Warhead right now.)

I swapped out all the hardware. CPU, Motherboard, Ram, Sound card. I modded the water cooling with only the CPU being water cooled instead. You can recall I use to have the entire system water cooled on my cpu/8800 Ultras. It took some work but it was worth it for only cpu watercooling so I can now enjoy the newest NVIDIA cards on the market. I only really like the hp Blackbird 002 case. The watercooling feature isn't that great but it also isn't that bad. I'm CPU watercooled only now. If HP can come out with a Tri-SLI watercooling kit then I would consider buying it. Or if an aftermarket computer part company ever makes a complete CPU/Tri-SLI Watercooling kit for my hp blackbird 002 case then I might also consider purchasing it once available.....

Good point. I think lots of people don't realise that people hop around in different pay brackets.

One day I hope to be able to afford a pc like yours, but for now im a poor student with no job and rising costs, so my pc is the best I can afford :(:o

It's an HP BlackBird 002 complete not just an empty HP BlackBird 002 case. I modded it more less into a barebone system. Just in case you didn't know it was once a complete watercooled rig with cpu/video cards in SLI all watercooled direct from hp/Voodoo PC. I use to work for them part-time and got a killer deal on the setup. I decided that I didn't want to go watercooling on the cards anymore and just the cpu. Anyway, that's all I have to say about that.

I did some more research and found this cool looking PSU called Power Train which is 1200-Watts by: TOP POWER Would this do a TRI-SLI configuration without having to buy any extra add-on adapters or other molex connectors? I'm sure it does but I want some last minute comments...
