Is there anyone else looking forward to this game?...i think it has a lot of potential and apparently the Korean open beta has proven to be really popular....

why would anyone be looking forward to it?
That is a real question by the way, give us some of the high points they´re touting.

Doesnt LOOK very exciting, the guy in the picture looks horrible, and the graphics subpar even for a MMO in this day and age.
And that is all I can tell from the screens, that it has worse graphics than WOW, with more bloom.

Looks like a colorful version of lineage II which I liked but hated the grind.

this game is not like wow's cartooney graphics.. its lot better.. don't try to judge the game by just one screenshot or just screenshots itself.... i cant wait for this game to be released in USA.

I was anticipating it, but any game that releases in Korea before even going into Beta in the US (as they plan to do) tells me that we're a secondary market, and they don't care. Aion had potential, but I won't waste my time now. No way am I starting new on a server where everyone else is max level.

Its looks like **** because the game engine is the same one that Guild Wars uses. So yes its old and outdated but you should know graphics don't make the game.

No, it's not. Guildwars uses it's own engine, while Aion is using the same engine as Farcry.

From my experience , Korean MMO = suck. They love masochistic grind fests and think fancy graphics makes up for lack of game play.

Lineage 2 was fun in the beginning but man it got boring after doing the same thing over and over again.

I have not played an MMOG since Lineage 2, which I enjoyed except for the blatant cheating and bot farming.
From what I have read NCsoft is apparently attempting to make Aion more accessible to casual players (i.e. less grind) which is a good thing.
I may give this one a try, there is some good information here (http://www.aionsource.com/) regarding the game.
For those who don't think the game looks good, watch some of the movies, some of the environments are amazing.

No game will kill wow except wow itself. Which is currently in the process of doing.
They try to balance classes while buffing others, always a few classes that are the flavour of the month in wow. I swear the developers of that game have never even tried out their own game.

WoW is a joke.

Aion

Is

Not a Korean MMO grind {Like Lineage 2 is}. It's actually about questing.

I am playing the Chinese retail atm with the english patch and it's all about questing so far. It's way better than wow so far only 22 levels in.

WoW won't die until Blizzard releases the next big thing. Blizzard has such a stranglehold on the MMO market. It's not because it's such a good game, but because it's unbelievably polished/stable/and full of content.
