That was two years ago on a pack trip. Off to the left is a rather steep climb up to the trail (probably 150 feet up) we were on. My horse lost it's footing. I escaped the event unscathed. My horse, on the other hand, had to be put down right there.

I hope I *never* have to put down any more of my animals. :(
