Will you be watercooling your video cards?

All of the current X58 based boards that support 3-way SLI (except the EVGA one and the upcoming P6T6 WS Revolution from Asus) has their 3rd PCIE X16 slot located at the very bottom, which means you cannot install a dual slot card there unless your case has room for more than 7 expansion slots.

I had to move my stuff to a Lian Li PC-P80 case from a Silverstone Temjin TJ10 because of this issue. Anyway, just a heads up if you're looking into tri sli on the X58.

Yeah I know that my case is a lian li pc goliath has like six inchs to the bottom of the case from the bottom of the motherboard. should'nt be a problem:) I don't know yet on watercooling the video cards as of yet, why they get too hot in tri sli?, I have two 120mm fans blowing air at the video card area.

that Lian Li Pc-80 is not worth it $280 price tag. they are just selling the brand name.

From what I understand ( which is not much :) ) When you add a PCI-x sound card, it drops the bandwidth the graphics PCI-x lanes have available. I could be wrong

I just ordered a window side panel for it from pc peformance. With 1a 120mm hole near the videeocard area, I'm not going to watercool it, I got the thermalright extreme 1366 coming, think I can reach 4.0ghz with it?.:)

Yeah, I like the case very much, so much room to work with inside, great airflow and surprisely quiet too.

As for the sound card, I don't think you can drop a Creative x-fi card into the riser card slot since the northbridge cooler is right behind it. The sound quality of the SupremeFX x-fi sound card came with the board is actually pretty good, may be not as good as a Creative add-on, but sure is better than any regular onboard sound. So I just use that instead.

Oh, and air cooling three GTX 280s is fine as the cooler passes air from the back of the card, not from the sides.
