It shouldn't matter, but I've seen some strange stuff happen. Last week when I was rebuilding my machine I happened to accidentally install an older Catalyst (3.2). When I went back to remove it and reinstall it errored out with some stupid message about "Error Initializing". I couldn't get the driver to come off and that was on a clean install. Had to start over. I've never seen that happen before w/catalyst so I'm not saying I *know* it had anything to do with directx9 being applied in a certain order, but who knows sometimes y'know? Doodoo happens.
