Hi!
I have a problem with this board, it doesn't boot when cold. Cold boot problem, if the PC been off for a couple of hours it won't post. A push at the reset button and it's on.

I thought a bois upgrade might help, but a chipset upgrade was essential before this bios upgrade. However these chipset drivers give me problems with the onboard ethernet.

Whats strange is, the manual says it has onboard Marvell ethernet and there is indeed a Marvell chip on the board, but with the original drivers that came on CD with the board, the device manager says NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller. Whats going on?

PS! This is the "vanilla" Asus A8N-SLI with only one onboard ethernet port.

yes, pretty much all nforce boards use marvell chips for NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller.

And it is not possible to use marvell drivers.

Here is a huge problem
original drivers that came on CD with the board

When it comes to any device never use drivers from the CD, by the time product ships drivers most of the time are already out of date, and on a board that is 3-4 years old you are several versions behind.

not sure what OS you are using but here are XP drivers

if other OS, look on nvidia site for drivers.
