why not?.......they keeping them there for 18 month without any trial, charges or any contact with outside world.....

if they execute them all....how would you know?

If this is true, which I doubt it is, then consider any shred of respect I had left for the US government down the toilet.

This doesn't bother me. There is more to this story than the missleading headline. Yet this is the only place I've seen this story, so I am with you vamp. I doubt it is true but not impossible. ;)

haha! thats rich! "Death Camp"

if thats what they want to call fully functional prisons these days fine by me. Maybe we should start marching them around cuba 24/7 and change the name to Bataan:rofl

Well they have no rights there what so ever, even prisoners have rights, so to call that a full functional prison is incorrect:p :D

fine, a fully functional military prison camp for enemy combatants;)

Illegal combatants ;) that way its a legal loophole and the geneva convention does not apply for some reason;)

LORD-eX-Bu

sure:confused:

but hey, some prisoners are on their way out. Some of them have nowhere to go, and alot are getting better treatment than the marines guarding them, or at least were;)

probably isn't the best place to be, but I bet it is alot nicer than what these guys came from in Afghanistan, so... either kill them or throw them out and quit wasting my taxes on them!:p

Wouldnt sending them back home be cheaper then setting up a Cuban Auswitch;)

Seriously the vast majority probably have no charges against them and have been held there for the past 18 months for no reason. They can't just kill them for no reason, if this is real the international community should get some balls and tell them that they cannot do that. They should have been held under international law and judge under international law instead of just been held there for so long. Just think about those who are there who have not done anything (yes there will be some do not try to deny it:p) how are they going to feel about been put under a biased trial and killed?;)

They don't have rights. They are not U.S. citizens. They are not prisonors of war.

They are prisoners of war, they just won't admit to that. They were caught during a war in afganistan and have been held without trial for quite a long time now. They should have been brought to trial or released long ago.

even if they were prisoners of war, the war ain't over, so we have time to give them their tribunals and have our way with them:p

So we wait until bush is out of the office before they are released?;) :p

We now go live for a special report inside afganistan!

"Well *hic* me and cleatus over here are just on vacation with about 100,000 of our buddies, the rifles? Sheet we be shooting birds, I mean we love the weather over here. Might wanna be taking cover ye all here comes one of our planes to scare some birds out. Yup no war here."

That's what bugs me about this whole ordeal, is that if any other country in the world was doing what the US is doing now, we'd be all over them for human rights violations and such. We declared a damned war, there's no denying it even though congress didn't "officially" declare it.

Kind of like the Gulf of Tonkin resolution during the Vietnam era, wasn't an official declaration of war yet stated everything that one would include (the US could use any and all means to "defend" itself against the VC). We've been in a constant state of war almost ever since 9/11, it's time to admit it instead of using it as a technicality to get around the idea of human rights.

the thing is, it has to be officially declared, if it ain't, it isn't considered a real war, just like Vietnam;) military action I guess.
