Yeah very reliable. Its stardocks "steam"

Its made by people who take great care of us gamers. Not like steam and gabe, who just want our money and fill our harddrive with DRM :bleh:

How is Impulse different from Steam? It's the same exact level of DRM, as far as I can tell.

Meh, Most of those titles are available from steam which I would prefer to get from there since most of my games are there already. Don't want to deal with ANOTHER gateway program...

Steam and Gametap is enough.

Pretty much.

I remember when Stardock launched and the main guy behind it went on and on about what a revolution it is, and why, and all this other stuff. One of the "revolutionary" things was automatic patch downloads. I remember thinking "this sounds exactly like Steam." After launch, I perused the site... sounds exacty like Steam.

I prefer Steam.

Impulse in some ways is better than steam. All the stardock published games are DRM free in the sense that you don't need to run the Impulse client to run the game like steam. So you double click the Demigod exe or link in your start menu and the game runs without the Impulse client running in the background or slowing the startup time of the game to run the Impulse client. But all updates to the game require you to run the Impulse client which I think is fair.

Stardock has proven their stand over and over and over again.

Newell just allows publishers to sell their games on Steam if they wish, that's all. He has no "no DRM" restriction in place because then they just couldn't sell those games, and that does nobody any good. Steam loses the revenue, and I lost the chance to buy those games on Steam.

Valve itself has proven itself a friend of PC gamers over and over again.
