I had some problems with my graphics card in the Dell C840 and I had to buy a replacement for it. I got the Geforce4 440 Go 64 MB and installed it in my computer and everything was fine till that point. However, when I started my computer for the first time the colors were distorted and anything that should look black looked almost green. Also, when I open a word file, I see pink flickering lines across my documents.

I connected my laptop to an external monitor to see if there is a conflict between the new card and my LCD and I was right. Did anyone face that problem before? I just wanna know if there is a fix to that problem other than connecting my laptop to an external monitor permanently.

If your old video card had 32MB and you had no video problems until Windows started then you need to reinstall Windows. Windows has no problems updating system memory but not reconfiguring memory to account for changes in video memory. This can also be true if memory params are changed in CMOS, for example, such as changes in your AGP memory window if you have one, etc.
