can i use new cpu

i'm pretty happy with my cpu right now....athlon xp 2200+, runs everything fine. in the future tho, i was wondering if i could use one of the "new" 333 fsb cpu's on my 266fsb mobo. thx

an FIC AM37 mobo with via km266 chipset.

I would say not, even with a bios upgrade, but if you can overclock to a 166MHz fsb you may be able to. My KT3Ultra doesnt offically support 333MHz CPUs, but it can use them, I just manually have to set the FSB to 166, and I dont think that there is that much difference between the via266a chipset and the 333 chipset, I may be wrong with my info here, but Im sure someone will correct me if I am wrong ;)

k, thanks...when i need to, i'll probably just upgrade to the highest supported cpu and oc it.
