What is the best game for a great teamwork multiplayer experience where everyone has a mic?

Left4Dead is good but only 4 players. Anyone have some good teamwork experiences on PC?

Suppose it depends on the gametype but i suppose with the BF series having such large maps it must for me edge towards BF2/2142.

Sometimes in BF2/2142 you get on a good server where you get on a good squad where everyone has a mic but that's rare.

And is BF2/2142 the only game that really offers this?

Edit: in BF2/2142 many servers use teamspeak or ventrillo but it's a pain to go connect to different servers each time you connect.

Team Fortress 2 hands down. You'll always fail in Team Fortress if you go alone, but co-ordinating and working like a team will always give fantastically satisfying results. :D

Team Fortress 2 is definitely the most zainy, but I'm not sure about the more teamwork based game.

It's definitely a ball when you get a bunch of people with headsets playing on one team, but the one sole ****-talking 10-year-old is a mood killer. :headexplode:

I'll say nothing beats BF2/2041 for it's in game communications.

Your not just getting voip to annoy everyone in the damn servers. Your getting voip for your squad while the squad leaders can voip with their commander in charge.

A good tactical server with voip can make for a great night of gaming.

The BF series for the win.

Unless, you simply want to mimic Xbox live with the BS 11 year old smack talking chatter that annoys everyone other then the other 11 year olds doing the same thing.

RB6 Classic + EW is where it was at. Best mix of speed & tactics. Of course the VOIP rarely worked in-game so we used RogerWilco (wow that was ages ago lol!) usually.

Yeah, that's what I remember. BF2/2142 have great team communication. But for some reason a lot of servers use teamspeak or ventrilo.

I reinstalled BF2 and while it still looks decent maxed out it's showing its age. And I think I prefer 2142 because there you don't just appear magically when you spawn, you drop from the sky in a pod. The enemies appearing out of nowhere in BF2 breaks the illusion.

I'm really surprised there are so few games that offer a great teamwork experience.
