Now that it's out of beta, I decided to give it another go. i have FF, Opera and Chrome all installed.

Speed - Opera and chrome seem pretty close, both are very fast.

rendering - Haven't run into any issues with pages on sites I visit...yet. it's only been a couple of days.

Functionality - Opera hands down. Speed dial<--I like it.

Security - I have to rely on what others report as I do not know all the ins and outs, but I have to lean towards opera at the moment as it's had much more time to mature.

Have you noticed i haven't mentioned FF yet? It's ok, but I believe Opera may have over taken it. Speed wise, it certainly has as I would rather not use faster fox or the like.

I'm sure Chrome will become a contender with maturity, additions from the community and the like, but at this time Opera is becoming my browser of choice.

Posting this from Chrome btw.

I only use Chrome on my XP laptop, Firefox for the gaming rig and my workstation at work. Chrome works great, more viewing space, fast and awesome.

Tried it, didn't like it. Mainly because when you zoom the pics don't zoom with the text like FireFox does. Due to my screen size and my viewing distance this is a function I need.

Its great, but lacks the plug ins I use. It is way faster than anything else I have tried on my gaming rig.

I've been using the newer builds more and more. FF is just too damn slow for my liking, especially with Opera and now Chrome on the scene.

Chrome just seems so darn fast :D And the bookmarks manager is something I can live with. I prefer FF's All-In-One bar extension but c'est la vie.

And, I think I am weaning myself off of extensions. They are a nice_to_have but not a necessity :)

FF is too slow for me too. Chrome rocks, love it.

Chrome is hands down my favorite browser, but flash support just plain sucks. I get constant crashes no matter which version I use(even tried the developer's beta version).

So for now I'll be sticking to firefox.. :(

I'm using Chrome 2.0 alpha right now, and after reading your post I d/l'd opera. It's a lot better than it used to be but I still like Chrome better. Chrome is a tad faster. And Chrome has the equivalent of speed dial. The whole thing about chrome is every tab uses a separate secure process so supposedly it's ultra secure. And the new version of Chrome supports greasemonkey scripts, so they'll be a lot of good addons.

Pics now zoom with text. Also supports middle click scrolling.
