I know I'm doing something dumb here but for some reason I can't get one of the computers on our home network to share a folder that I can get to from another computer.

What I did was create a folder named Share and set it up as a shared folder with read and write permissions for everyone, but when I try to get to it from another computer I get the Login dialog box. So what dumb thing have I done?

I have another computer on the network that I setup the same way and it works fine, so this has got me kind of messed up. The network is wireless with a DLINK router. I'm hard wired into it and the other two computers are wireless. The WORKGROUP is set to HOME on all three computers.

Thanks for any help.

I fixed the folder sharing problem on the second computer, Windows XP Media Center Edition. The first computer was Windows XP Home.

1) Enable Guest Account.

2) Use Simple File Sharing.

3) Use Network Wizard to enable File and Printer Sharing.
