HD 4870 with the cat 8.12s

DVDs are fine, downloaded content is fine. I had the klite codec package for Vista 64 installed, didn't seem to make a difference, so I uninstalled it.

When a video does decide to play, like a game trailer, it pauses every 20 seconds or so like it's buffering, but the pause is 20-30 seconds. Youtube was fine until last night, now it just acts like it's buffering at the beginning of the video but it never launches.

Looking for suggestions, but please be patient with me guys - I am extreme n00b when it comes to codecs, video issues, etc.

thanks in advance!

Try reinstalling adobe flash and if that doesn't work try an older version(flash sucks ass! Silverlight ftw).
