Based in Antigua, West Indies :)

Sadly, in many EU countries, simply owning tools that can defeat DRM protection (like AnyDVD HD) is illegal, without actually using them.

Anyway, without tools like AnyDVD HD, I simply could not play original BD on my computer at all, as my LCD has 2560x1600 resolution, but HDCP is supported only up to 1920x1200..

that's ridiculous. that's exactly why i hate DRM.

I know that this is totally off topic, I have anydvd and clonedvd2. I was wondering if there is a way to burn the DVD movie to your hard drive and not to disc. I have a media center that I am currently building now and would like to access movies from my server.

Thanks.

Rip the movie to a .iso then mount it with deamon tools. Done! I take all of the movies I purchased and rip them to iso uncompressed and use mediaportal as the media center I don't like MS media center.

XBMC can't play HD-DVD or Blu-ray with all content menus etc.., but movie it self will play in M2TS, TS etc.. format.

MP can play full BD movie? with menus and all the extra junk?

both XBMC and MP have their strenghts and weakneses, tried MP about a month ago. there was something about it that i didn't like.

MP does have better video support with DXVA support, that is awesome.

XBMC still is CPU dependant on Video playback, biggest drawback of XBMC is they are spreading themself thin: Mac, Win, Xbox, Linux, AppleTV. to many platforms

Will MP uses PDVD as a plugin. I have used MP for about 4 years now and I love it, there is so many many options.
