I just installed FreeBSD to an older machine with a GeForce FX 5900 256MB AGP card, and compiled the 173.14.12 driver. I'm using the FreeBSD AGPGART driver because NVAGP crashes immediately with a ton of Xid errors.
Everything works great, until I go to the KDE 4.1 settings "Desktop" pane (the one with the desktop effects). As soon as I enter this, xorg segfaults and I get an Xid error in my syslog:
NVRM: Xid (0001:00): 37 , L0 -> L0
And after that point, I can't unload the nvidia module (it says the device is busy) regardless of whether xorg is running or not.
Any ideas?
