Im building a new box for my room for dual 18" FI SSD's.

I already ordered the second SSD its in the build phase.

I started building the box today but ran out of daylight.

This box will obviously be ALLOT bigger then the last.

This box is 5ft x 24" x 22" without grill which puts it at over 17 cu ft.

Heres a few pictures of what I did today.

How is the car sub working out for your home theater? I know a few friends from high school that used to do that lol. Maybe I should do that with my 2 Crossfire DB 12" that are not being used right now lol. Anybody know if a way to hook it up to my PC? :captnkill:

Still gotta fix the grill up a bit more and add a small cover that will go over the port and then the speakers and its done.

Damn, that looks very nice man. :)

Do you have a standard 120v "home" amp that will power that or are you still using the car amp with the 12v battery and charger?

Car batt works really well. Never ran into a problem. But I might invest in a Crown AMP or something later.

Hey, I didn't know you could do this, but if you bought a high end PC power supply you could probably run it this way. :p

I did allot of research on it. bad idea. By time I put down enough for a Powersupply that might run it I can buy a power converter that will run it no problem.

Heh, I was just reading a bit and it seems that even with a store bought power converter there are lots of stories of people causing massive fires when using them for powering large speakers.

I have an extra 300W Infinity mono amp and a 12" Infinity Reference sub to go with it and I was thinking of using it in the house if it was easy, but this stuff sounds like a very bad idea. :p

Its a shame that you can't just buy a decent amp that runs on AC power for under $400.

Holy crap! Nice work. I have 2 18" BTL's in my tahoe. Aren't Fi subs just top notch!

Indeed. :D

I have a 12" Q in my Sonata running off of a ~890W RMS Kicker 750.1. I freaking LOVE it. :)

sweet jesus, Fi is such a small company that produces excellent drivers for ground pounding bass. My 2 18"s are getting power from a US Amps MD3D powered with 16volts, and twin 300amp alts. My truck can be felt miles away im told LOL.

Once I get my new Pioneer A/V reciever and AudioSource stereo amp for my subs, I'll have to post some pics and vids just for you Kasu! I'm sure you'd appreciate it. Right now all but my surround speakers are *heavily* underpowered... and that's with running dual 500watt recievers.

Ill have to check it out dude. I want to put some more money into my audio other then just the subs but Im working on some home improvment now. I just broke the mirrior in the other room (8'x12') I rewired, sealed my box better, turned it up and within seconds after moving the location of my box it knocked the mirrior loose from the wall in the living room.

So Im expanding my room and soundproofing it now.
