Been a long time since I upgraded my computer, I think my specs are in my signature!

Anyways, I been wanting to upgrade, and I was thinking of getting the following pieces, but I haven't been reading about computer parts for quite a long time so I don't want to make a mistake, can you guys help me?

eVGA 280 SSC Edition: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130368

eVGA X58 Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188039&Tpk=evga%20x58

Water block for the 280: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=240&products_id=24500

And, I already have 4 GB of Corsair Dominator 1800 MHz DDR3, and I was thinking of putting 2 GB more in it since the mobo supports 6GB, of these to be exact: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145187

That's all I been thinking, and MAYBE getting myself another 280 for Sli, but not sure yet.

So my question is, is all of these good? Will I encounter any problems with these parts? Is there anything I should change? Will my DDR3 1800Mhz work fine on this Mobo with 6 GB? Because on the current mobo I got i had to lower them to 1600 MHz otherwise the computer would blue screen, would have loved to know this before I bought them!

Anyways, and I don't think I need to upgrade my CPU just yet, or my Power supply, even tho I'd love to cus this one is pretty noisy, but they're expensive, or my Sound card?...

Well if you guys have any suggestions apart from the things I want to buy right now, please tell me, I wouldn't mind hearing what new HD or Sound card or stuff like that I can buy!

Thank you

Hmmm.. After reading a bit I think I just noticed that a X58 Board wont support my QX9650? And maybe not my Corsair either? So in other words, if I want to upgrade to the things I said above, I'd have to buy the following...

eVGA X58 Mobo
Corsair Dominator 3x 2GB 1600 MHz
2 eVGA 280 GTX
Intel i7 CPU

Is that right? Or will a x58 board support my QX9650 and my corsairs at 1800MHz?

as far as i know, x58 motherboards ONLY support core i7 CPUs.

Don't be raciss.

This is true, however.

A hammer and a screwdriver and you can get AMD 939 processors to run in X58 motherboards @ 6GHz and higher... it also instantly turns them into 8-core cpus.
