Here it is :D

As expected, these cards are extremely fast, and have no problem beating my previous triple GTX 280 setup. Check out the performance! Also, surprising to me, in most games the GTX 295 has a higher minimum FPS!

Nice... ghehehehe.

What are the load temps of these babies?

jAkUp

Load temps are not too bad actually around 80c max.

I always look forward to these threads. Very nice, jaKup.

For the fPS count - is it maximum or minimum*? That might be a dumb question...

I thought they would be hotter. But these 55nm chips are not so powerhungry I guess.

Nice pictures too. :)

You, my friend, as usual, really really REALLY suck!

You always have one of the coolest setups on the planet!

Nice cards! :D

Very small performance difference. 3x 285 could be faster than Quad-SLI...
Did you try that jAkUp?

I still don't understand why Nvidia didn't go with 6 SLI setup. Don't think that there would be any temp issue. Also as far as power requirements nothing extra compared to Tri GTX280 setup.

Can you comment on microstuttering w/ that quad-SLI setup? I'm also a prospective buyer of 2 295s.

i think you are right, 3x 285 would probably be faster, quad-sli is only about 3-9FPS faster.

What happens to the Tri-SLI GTX280 cards? care to donate? (j/k)
Seriously a nice setup like usual :)
Also eager to know if the microstuttering issue is solved.

Awesome rig, Jacob ! :D

Shading power:

4 x 1242 MHz = 4968 MHz
3 x 1476 MHz = 4428 MHz

12% win for the quad SLI.

Bandwidth:

4 x 448 bit x 1000 MHz x 2 = 448000 MB/s
3 x 512 bit x 1242 MHz x 2 = 476928 MB/s

6% win for the tri SLI.

Maybe the Tri SLI system could scale better with high resolutions, due to the larger frame buffer.

I'm surprised that the performance is so close. You'd think that having another whole GPU in there would have made a pretty large difference, especially in the Cryostasis demo.

I totally agree with you Capt, also nice rig Jakup.

Yeah theoretically... but Quad-SLI scaling might be an issue with some games. Can't wait to see more Tri-SLI vs Quad-SLI benchmarks with the 55nm cards!

Nice Jakup! though I'd like to see some 2560 res comparisons :afro2:

One thing that you need to remember is that these cards by default are lower clocked than the GTX 280.

Not by much though. Considering the ROP/Bandwith deficit. The performance difference between 1 GTX 295 and 2 GTX 280's is incredibly small. Can I brag your thread too? :O I wanna be as cool as Jakup!

Im not impressed with its "single card" performance.

ChrisRay

Without multi GPU enabled you mean? Its only slightly slower than a 280.

I just don't think its worth the rumored $500 price, if it launches at $400 then it would be a nice look at since its going up against the 4870 X2 which can be found for the low $400 and even below if you look hard.

Decent performance, but how do the minimum frame rates compare?

Isn't that one of the few things that matter most?
