View Full Version : People who don't like Crysis Wars are poor.
I heard this statement last night when playing a few rounds and there may be a grain of truth in it because when compared to other multiplayer FPSes it is still the most dynamic, yet obviously lacks a large fan base. Frustration that stems from lag created by inferior hardware is the likely culprit.
Why aren't you playing Crysis Wars?

Crysis is one of THE most over-hyped games ever. Graphically, yes, it looks beautiful. Gameplay wise, it was boring. Terrible story. That's where and WHY consoles are winning over people. They could care less about the graphics as long as the story rocks. Most times, it does.

I think your statement is correct. I like to play with the resolution maxed out... and 35-40fps on a MP game is not teh good.

wrong, it has very good gameplay challenging and hactic at times.
I had one of the most rewarding experiences yesterday by accidentally discovering the game of maximum chicken. I was placing a land mine in front of a factory gate only to look up and see the grill of an HMMV. Within an instant and a double tap of space later, I was flying over the exploding wreckage of my intended murderer...

again, he's talking about the MP, not the SP.
it's like meth said, "35 - 40fps on a MP game is not teh good."
i played the MP for a little bit. while it was very good, my stunning ~30 fps even with the resolution turned down is not how I like MP games(yes it doesn't feel like the typical 30fps, but you can still tell in intense fire-fights where it dips into the teens). this is why games like L4D and TF2 are so big, they require mediocre hardware to easily get 100fps. framerates that are pretty much essential to mp games.

The server I primarily play on doesn't allow pilots with 200+ ping because it actually provides them with an advantage. It's hard to hit something that looks like it is teleporting all over the place. ;)

i personally thought crysis was really immersive... the whole feel and the awesome graphics of the game made it amazing to me... you really have to play it on the hardest difficulty for it to be intense
Because its the same unbalanced suckage that was Crysis MP. And before any smart ass says "Oh you're a nub" - I played both Crysis BETA and Crysis MP. Crytek left Crysis's MP to die and despite the epic failure it was, they just decided not to learn from their mistakes and most issues that made Crysis MP a chore got transitioned into Wars. Crysis Wars is good but put simply, there are better offerings available.
Counter Strike
Call of Duty
Battlefield
Team Fortress
Quake
List goes on.... Crysis MP/Wars tries to do too much at once and ends up botching the execution.

Heh, it's "okay" now... I don't know that I love it yet, but it's a little more fun than the first couple times I played it.

The fundamentals of Crysis MP suck. Simple as that.
I can abide the single player....for 10 mins....and after i have seen the nice textures, lighting..... yeah you get the picture (or 200,000 of them if you check out screenshot thread 2008).....then i switch it off cos it simply bores me.
