Hi,

On a new HDD do i need to do a slow format or would a quick format do the job?

Is there any difference? i heard the drive is faster when done on slow?

Thanks

Quick is no slower than normal when it comes to drive speed afterward.

A quick format is good enough for a brand new drive.

Full format is useful for if you've had the drive for a while and you may have bad sectors. The drive should mark them/relocate them.
