My 4870x2 started making noises again after 3 days, so I'm going back to green. RMAing the 4870x2 and I'll sell it when it gets back.
See sig-- it will change soon.

If ya'll care, I should have my new rig finished by tomorrow, I'll post my impressions on the new 55nm GTX260 as well. :D
Also, just for BC, I'll also include my impressions of the Silverstone Raven RV01 case.
And tons of pics. ;)

Nice! What is the lowest you can get the 260 for? The 280 is simply too much right now for me. :o

I got mine for roughly $307 shipped. I think that was a weekend only special they had on that particular e-vGA though.

It might not come with all the connectors... and it may or may not still be under warranty. You'll have to check it out.

It doesn't come with anything, which is fine. I have the cables here.
You never know about the condition though...

Well if it's still under MSI warranty, then you can return it for a new one with all the connectors and everything...
If it's simply "as is," then you could be bear****ed.

Yeah I just recently made the switch to a GTX295 from a 4870X2.
The main reason for my switch was that CAT AI needed to be switched on in order to get multi GPU to turn on. This caused a bunch of graphics anomalies in games like Quake wars.
In the past when using ATI cards CAT AI was for allowing optimization or I was under the impression it was, and for the longest time I ran this card with CAT AI off.
As soon as I found out that it needed to be turned on in order to get multi GPU to work I fired up Quake Wars, and though I did get better performance I was getting all kind of anomalies the mining laser for example in Qwars would get all gold in color and various other issues. I also had all kind of issues with new driver installs needing multiple reboots.
I loved the card but in the end I didn’t want to wait for drivers to resolve things or wait for a new release to see if it would resolve my issues. Shame really so…….with that said I have had zero issues with anything I throw down the GTX295’s way.

Nice stuff, Meth! I would have saved up for the i7 though. At the price of that 9650, it's not worth it, IMO.

I wasn't ready to get a i7 mobo and ram... and I'm getting some pretty nice performance from the 9650 at 4ghz... ;)

I didn't purchase a CPU for 360. I got my entire new system for 300. 150 after I sold my old one. If I had a choice to buy a CPU or a whole new system for a little more, that's what I would do.
