As for me my GF295 overclocked 670/1461/1026 , reaches 100 C in furmark and thats with 100% fan , no other game stresses so much usually its maxed out at about 60% fan :p maybe if i had better air flow inside case situation would improve its kinda cramped .
Oh and if you rename exe to ETQW.exe furmark will stress SLI both cards.

Nvidia drivers and Bios/board fail safes will kick in long before you are in danger of hurting your GPU. 97C is really not as bad as it sounds. If and when the cards tempature threshold gets exceeded the card will implement a host of fail safe features. Nothing should "kill" your card.

Programs should not damage cards, period. Cards have been made for 3D. They should not overheat under any circumstances. If they overheat, then there's something wrong... And it's not the program... The program will stress the card to its limits and reveal any problems. The fact that some people will ignore Furmark completely and say it's the program's fault is just plain stupid. Thermalright included...

Ooch your card running hot to but since it's a dual GPU yours should be heating up more I guess. I pressed mine to 98C today and probably as others said it's my case and needs better airflow :)
True Furmark seems to be for GPU what IntelBurntest is for CPU. pushing it to crazy temps!
Allright Chris and Lfctony, I feel a little safer then and should not worry to much, thanks a lot guys :)
Annyway will take a look at some better bigger case then this crap P182.
I want a fulltower and the best airflow one can get, as I said I hate this P182 as everyting is so crampt!
I heard good things about Cooler Master HAF 932 and Cooler Master Stacker.
Have to read up some more and any help on what to get is appritiated :)

FurMark reaches 99% fan on my stock EVGA 55nm 260 "SSC" edition (675MHz). Temp peaks at 86c and settles at 85c as the cooling fan speeds up quickly. I noticed that 640x480 heats up faster than higher resolutions.
Another good one is "OCCT 3.0" which will stress GPU and CPU same time. It's a killer, be careful. I measured absolutely insane wattage from my simple i7 + GTX260 setup. It has a custom cuda/gpu routine, and a tuned LinPack run for various CPUs. It makes Prime95 stress test look like child's play for power consumption.

Nice I have used OCCT before but then it was no GPU Test what I noticed, I now see that you even can check what your PSU is good for. sweeat :D

In addition to the mentioned Cooler Master Stacker 830 you may want to look at the Cooler Master ATCS 840 or Cooler Master HAF 932. I like the cleaner more classic look of the ATCS 840 myself.
Yeah the ATCS 840 is a looker and got good reviews I see but it's getting much hotter then the HAF-932 so I will get that and I think it looks ace and are the best one can get for airflow and a big case to work in :)
The P182 is a pain in the a.. the worst case ever so the HAF 932 seems to be perfect for me!
Thanks for your input Blacklash!

The coolermaster atcs is HUGE and tbh looks a little bit of a monstrosity however, the cooling on the chassis is incredible. I almost pruchased one for my new rig but was put off when i saw it in the flesh and realised just how bulky the thing was...it makes the cosmos and stacker look like midi cases.
Furmark results..
1280 MSAA off

1920 16x MSAA

What is interesting is that GTX285 fan set at auto only got to 62% fan speed at the max tamp of 86c from furmark...i cant wait till Thermalright release the HR-03 for these babies then i can see what they can really do. :)

As far as performance goes the CM HAF 932 is well liked-
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=190077
It's at a fairly good price point too, at least in the states. I am not sure about its price elsewhere.
I think it would be nice for people who like quiet cases too. Another good CM case is the Cosmos 1000.
In the states the HAF is 150 and the Cosmos can be had for as low as 190. For the cash/performance the HAF is darn attractive.
Yepp the HAF 932 seems to be a killer, and extremely cheap here in Sweden to. great as I have burned almost my cash now when I just got the GTX 285 so this is a win win for me :D
BTW, Pretty nice temps you got there TrixteH and true HR-03 and it should be a walk in the park in Furmark there after :)
My 295 GTX goes above 100 degrees in Furmark :p That's on stock!!!
Reaches 105 or so when overclock to 675/1500/1200(2400) so which means, I don't overclock!
I am thinking of getting a waterblock for it and additional pump, radiator etc....maybe

Woow that sounds really crazy, 105 degrees oouch thats hot :D
I just ordered a HAF 932 chassi so hopfully the temps will drop drastically on my GTX 285 as it went up to 99 today when I checked after some while in Furmark. I shot it down real fast then hehe.

I have the same card, and for me the temp is same (85-86C) using furmark, however the fan speed is only 62% at that point.

If you have XP or Vista 32-bit, can you read your card's BIOS with NiBiTor and tell me the default voltage for the "extra" (ie, highest speed) setting?

Nibitor v4.8 gives me the following values:
Extra 1,12V
3D 1,05V
2D 1,05V

Mine is 1.18v! I think I will reflash tonight with lower voltage, since I lowered the clocks yesterday, since it wasn't stable. Guess really I didn't get a good one.
Thanks!!
Ye I noticed the thread, replied there too.

Okay I reflashed my GTX260 55nm with 1.12v instead of 1.18v, and Furmark maxed out at 81c and 57% fan just now (at the lower custom 626/1352/1080 speed). Ten minute run. Played FC2 for 90 minutes no crashes. Wow, lowered wall wattage by about 52 watts too...
Perhaps you should try at "default" overclocked speeds too, to see if you can crash it or create some graphics bugs?
Just got the HAF 932 and absolutely love it so thanks for the input guys, the best case ever and now temp is as it should with my GTX 285. 85C in Furmark under full load and the Fan is little over 80% I think when I checked in Rivatuner so it's all good and have it now at 720-1620/1380 mhz :D
And today I ordered Corsair 1000W PSU as you recomended as my 520W Corsair chokes under Intelburntest+Furmark so now I should be redy for any heavy games:D

You got a real good case and a quality PSU there. Enjoy. :)
