Asus Essence STX is a brand sound card for both music and gaming today. It also has a headphone amp. Anyone in the market for a new sound card should consider this card.
I have not seen anyone post anything on this card so I figured I should with the options available now this one seems to be the best.

It's basically a Xonar card, with very high quality components and the headphone amp. However I think it lacks analog 5.1 outputs.

You sir are correct!...the reason I purchased this sound card was because of the headphone amp I find myself more playing under heaphones more everyday.
If you have a good set of cans this is the best solution I ever heard in a sound solution even better than in some cases a stand alone headphone amp.

There is a great thread over at head-fi on this card, and it looks to be the fastest thread in terms of post on that site with lots of favorable things to say about it.
By the way it will still do multi channel in the digitsl domain just not in analog as you mentioned
