It is June ....... I am starting to wonder about this June release date. I want to buy one soon so I hope the late May early June date happens but it doesn't look like it so far. Looks like late June to me at the earliest.

I'm starting to think that when nVidia said to expect the NV35 in June, they meant you could pre-order a card on 11:59:59pm on June 30th. :)

Yeah it sucks..

I've decided that since it's so late I'm going to hold out for the first price cuts. $500 is a little steep for a card which should have been called the NV30 five months ago.

Is your Sony Monitor the 24" widescreen fw900? If it is ..... does it kick much ass? When you stretch the games to fit the screen does everything look too stretched?

Not widescreen, but it kicks major ass.. never seen better color or clarity on any monitor. It's getting on a bit though (got this one with the first wave of 24" CRT's).

New artile linked to via front page fomr Xbit labs says this

The big, the green, the hot, the powerful, the GeForce FX 5900 will be for sale in Japan starting from the 24th of June. The first graphics cards will come straight from one of NVIDIA’s largest AIBs, ASUSTeK Computer, this Japanese web-site said. Our sources in the USA also confirmed that the GeForce FX 5900-based graphics cards will show up in the US only in late June or early July.

Hmmmmm. Isn't it sort of odd, how Tawian gets the cards before the U.S. does? Is nVidia outsourcing the cards to Tawian for production? Whatever happened to MSI or PNY? Man... I hate this waiting game crap.

I was under the impression Tawian and Japan allways get the new stuff before us. You can buy all P4's a tad bit sooner in japan....

I did not know MSI and PNY manufactured in the US? Or am i reading your post wrong?

Are there any manufacuters in the US?

good damn thing there are no games to justify the need yet. It would be pretty crappy is STALKER was out, or HL 2, and no fast azz Ultra 5900 256 to play them with.

when first reviews of NV35 were released back around E3, they said NV35 would be RELEASED to retailers by the END OF JUNE ... I have no idea what you are all crying about ? end of June, not end of May

Oh i just noticed this.

http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/akiba/hotline/20030531/image/n592.html

The final products are 1 slot!

Alot of people kept posting, even though the reviews said 'the final prodcuts will be one slot' that the nv35's are 2 slot solutions.

Oh really? Care to provide us with links, etc... To state that it's and the end of the June? I was under the impression that shipping would of start in the beginning of June.

That's just Asus's offering. BFG Technologies, etc... I think are all based off the reference design. They just throw stickers on them! Hehe.

Is it going to be a 256mb card ,because nearly $600 is way to high.Hel.l you could get a different brand a lot cheaper with about the same performance and still have enough left over to buy a good Processor.

The 600$ is the japan price, the Radeon 9800Pro128mb costs 700usd in europe ........................

something about less taxes in the us.

Demand here is much higher than it is in europe so they raise the price to compensate. Dunno about Japan though since they like to go buck wild over new stuff.
