I'm not sure if this is me but I have found two rather large problems, first of all the sea plane will not fly. It will not respond to the usual controls for flying and i have tried every key without any luck to get it going. And the mr whopee van, I can't get the horn working on that to get customers over. Anyone else had these problems?

Nope, the sea plane in the movie studio worked just fine for me...check you key bindings?

Nothing renders fast enough when i am zipping through on the PCJ, so i always run into fences that are not there :( Once i have been around a few times, they load faster, but it is damn annoying

You folks are probably talking about playing it on XP, right?
Sorry, I'm playing it on me 98se install. It doesn't have any of that lazy texture crap and just runs smoother for me. :)

About the plane, I had trouble too. Try not to move it from it's take off position. Re start the mission, and just fly straight ahead to take off and pull up, do not turn. I found this messes up the whole airplane physics.
The whopee van, you have to stop completely in an area with people. Pink arrows will appear above the heads of customers. Then use the horn to bring them to you. This is how it works if I'm not mistaken, or you go to an area and use the horn, and pink arrows will appear over customers.

The trouble is the horn will not sound at all :( I've driven next to groups of people and tried sounding it at a standstill and nothing. I just ran them over for their trouble after that.

I suppose ports from console games like this should really have more work put into them... :(
How do you Throw the pizzas. In the game their is no indication of what or how to throw the pizza anyone know how?

The good old world of console ports. I am getting so sick of this, console gamers get more choice and more attention to their games then PC gamers:mad:
I wish I just downloaded it instead, seriously if I fork out £30 for a game it should not have any moronic bugs that should have been spotted instantly. Did they even check it for bugs?

you gotta admit though.. compared to the bugs in gta3.. this one is a dream :)
at least it plays smooth and renders correctly @ 1600x1200 with all details turned on/distance maxed...

Just like a drive-by. Look in a directions either right/left ("q"/"e") and click the left mouse button.('attack button') You'll shoot a pizza out, if it comes close to a customer it's delivered.
Vamp:Did you change the key bindings for your up/down on the plane? I had HELL trying to do the remote controlled plane, until I reset the keybinds to the default & then all the controls worked. Mebbe the keybinding is buggy?

A big "AMEN!" to that one brother! This game is just incredibly well written to me compared to the last one.
Question to you though Sazar, what kind of AA & AF are you running VC on? I'm doing 4xAA & 16xAF with no noticable slow-downs, I was just curious what other 9700 owners were doing.
Also...has anyone else had a damned hard time going back and playing GTA3 now? I just can't do it anymore!!! Too many jaggies & shimmers, & AA/AF kills performance for me in it period. :(

When I used my Ti4600 this was the case. But when I fired it up on my now departed 9500 (hacked to near 9700 Pro speeds) 1280x1024 with 4xAA and 8x performance ran buttery smooth. Haven't tried it on my 9800 but I'm anticipating the same. And yes, this was in GTA3. ;)
I am having the same dam problem. The seaplane just won't get off the water. I putt around on the water like a stup(id) trying to figure out what the hell it going on until I run out of fuel, and then I try it again. The forward (w), backward (s) and side movements (a and d) work but it just doesn't go fast enough to get airborne. When flying the little remote control plane, there is no up and down like in the helicopter (just moving forward makes the remote control plane take off and fly) . I assume this is the same with the seaplane? I even tried the cheat (onspeed) and it makes the plane go faster but still in the water and still will not fly.
Anyway, anyone know any tricks here? Something that I may be doing wrong?
This game at first seemed pretty good, but the more I play it, the more aggravated I get (I've said more cuss words playing this game than Tommy could ever think of) . The dam thing is just too hard where it shouldn't be and takes the enjoyment out of it (for me). Once I finish this game, I doubt I will ever play it again. I am also having problems with some saves and loads that seem to take forever, like sometimes over 5 minutes. All wrong!
I've heard that using cheats can mess the game up. I have to admit, I am using them. Heh heh. I just can't get through some of the stuff without them. Usually I don't resort to cheats until I have finished a game. This one is a different animal. If someone can play this whole game (accomplishing everything) without using a single cheat, you are a better man than I am.

...was to use the car stat editor and give the damned thing a bit more balls! (Although I did beat it honest once first, I tweaked it for the wife since she was having god-awful problems with it too. ;) )
Slightly OT for the thread, but does Vice City have an ending like GTA3 did? Do we ever get to interact with the bosses back in Liberty City? (Please don't post up spoilers, I thought the bank job was gonna bring something...but no. :( I just bought the printing press and am starting the missions there. :) )
Does it end? (I sort of hope not, but I'd like that nice feeling of completion that GTA3 gave me. )

I just finished the game last night after posting this.
BTW-stncttr908-You're playing on a radeon, aren't ya! That's a problem with the alpha textures not being anti-aliased, it's a bug that ATi is aware of and working on. :)

Nay sir, GF3 ti200 with all sets of drivers. I can't afford to throw AA on since I'm on me PIII 600. I'll try the game on my brother's system and see what I can accomplish.
BTW with Win98 compatability the game refuses to make it halfway through the load sequence when I attempt to load a savegame.

I've got the same horrible outlining problems on my TI 4400. If there's some trick to get rid of it, that'd be great.
