Well gents, I have officially returned from my trip to the mountains of East Tennessee to attend the wedding of our very own AshG. I have to say that I had a spectacular time hanging out with him and being able to see him get hitched. I also thoroughly enjoyed my tours of the Corvette and Saturn assembly plants.
Aside from that, I had an experience that any Simpsons afecionado will appreciate. I had no idea that in Knoxville, a World's Fair Park really exists. When I was tooling around the campus of the University of Tennessee, I caught a glimpse of something that looked like the Sunsphere that appeared in the epiosde of the Simpsons where Bart, Milhouse, Martin and Nelson rent a car and go to Knoxville. I went closer and lo and behold, it was the Sunsphere!
I snapped a couple pictures, but unfortunately I think my memory card might have died so I can't guarantee any of the pics turned out. If I am able to snag them I will post one here.
But I thought you Simpsons fans might get a kick out of that. I sure did. :D
