Direct2Drive states it will be out at 10:00am tomorrow, so hopefully Steam will release it then as well. If it's not on Steam by the time I get home from work, I guess I'll go D2D.

Will Steam be carrying it?

This game is 100% action packed racing!

Performance is also damn good, solid 60 FPS with 8xAA. SSAO doesn't work right now, probably a driver issue.

With your PC, of course it should be damn good.

I think I may stick to it on 360 since I already have it.

Where did you get this? Direct2Drive released it after you posted, and no stores seem to have it in stock today.

I was hoping Steam would want my money, but I guess not.

The game is available since yesterday here (retail).
Not sure why there is a delay in the US. What about the retail version?

EA was promoting pre-orders get the game on the 3rd and game will be released on the 6th to everyone else, im surprise to see D2D already selling it but then again anyone who was planning to get it already has it with pre-order, I was hoping for a Steam release myself. :(

does this game have something like NFS like city where you need to travel to find races, repair vechicle etc..

Yeah its an open city and you pull up to a light to start an event. If you wreck your car you can drive into a repair shop to fix it.

So what about that demo that they talked about?

They said we'd be able to download the whole game as a "trial". You could do anything you wanted but there was a limit on how long you could play.

I'm assuiming that, along with a Steam version, is coming later.

The question is: can I hold out?

I get off work in 30 minutes, and I bet the answer is no.

Burnout Paradise delivers an open-world environment built for intense speed, excitement and exploration and sets a new standard in the seamless transition from single-player offline to social online gameplay.

:banghead:

Sounds like there is no Lan MP support. If it works as crappy as TDU did then you can count me out.

"Save and quit" under the options menu... annoying.

Game is a great port, I bought it on Direct2Drive. It runs silky smooth for the most part at highest settings, even on a single GTX 260 like mine. I can't enable SSA or anything, but it's brand new game, so I didn't expect to. Some distant shimmering jaggies show up even at 8xMSAA, but it's not too bad. Look a lot better at high res, but it's not much different than the console game, so if you own that you might not think it's worth upgrading.

Still, good port... I am happily suprised.

Wow, nevermind... forcing SSA through nHancer works marvelously with little framerate loss. With that forced, an all in-game settings at max except motion blur, which I don't like, I get 40-50fps even at insane speeds, and the game looks amazing.

Woot.
