Seems to be a good driver. L4D is smoother for sure, and that is all I tried so far. This is on a GTX295 @ 725c/1585s/2400mem

I get a "page not found" error for the WinXP 32bit link posted in OP. However, the direct link to the file works.

181.20 : o.k., I like it very much.

182.05 : some graphics glitches in "Aquamark" bench, other benches o.k. for me.

best wishes,

What the hell is the point of that post? not very informative at all. Aquamark is from like 2002, YES, it is a cool bench, but really 3d06 is much more suited, and better yet Vantage.

what an unfriendly guy you are.

well, some also like to play old games, and for me any information on
"outdated" benches/games if of interest. Maybe not for you, but your
reply is realy not informative at all.

have a nice day,

You know what, I apologize for my statement, it was rude:). I haven't played with AQ3 in years. The last time I ran it I had 7800GT's in SLi on a NF4 chipset......long ago. Anywho, if I pissed you off, im sorry:nutkick:

I noticed a large FPS increase in Fallout 3 (not that it needed it really).

increase is always a good thing, but if that bothers you raise the AA to equal it out ;)

As long as you don't use old benchmarks to determine performance. When I first got my gtx 260 I only had 3dmarks 2005 to compare performance vs my old 8800gt. There was hardly no difference at all in scores. The old benchmark app just didn't tax the gpu enough to see any difference as cpu became the bottleneck. Should be true for drivers as well. Benchmarking with new games and vantage shows difference :)

Heh heh, was that a slight at us lowly XP users? The "better" version can certainly be debated but I'll leave it alone.

Anyway, these drivers look interesting, I'll have to give them a try. If they are WHQL release candidates, I would think they are going to turn official very soon.

Well I'll be damned. I just went in and played Mass Effect with these drivers for about an hour and didn't get any crashes. I haven't been able to play this game since 177.41 drivers (in fact with the 181.22, I couldn't even get past the opening cutscene). I'll keep my fingers crossed as I play it some more. Haven't tried anything else yet but so far, so damn good!

That's minor compared to the constant green/light blue flashes I was getting with 178.24 WHQL drivers in TRU with my GTX 260. Luckily 182.05 fixed those and I can live with such "small" rendering bugs that are shown on the picture, however NVIDIA should fix it of course.
