For all you people who are getting a GeForceFX 5900, from what you've seen from various manufacturers, which one are you gonne get?

Personally I'm thinking to get the MSI card, just because it's cool looks and not too extreme (and sometimes useless) bundle (I don't need a sound and IEEE1394 card...)

Thought I haven't seen the 256 MB Ultra version yet (want one of those, useful or not), but if it looks half the way the 128 MB version does, my money is with MSI.

I think the MSI card looks butt ugly.

who cares how it looks? I care how it runs and looks on screen! It's like if I say my P4 chip looks ugly, who gives a flying **** when it's in a case and you can't see it??!!!

Well, to each his own, but what card do you find attractive?(looking beyond functionality, presuming they all perform the same...)

Windowed case anyone?

But when we presume that *all* FX5900 cards perform the same (because like, they are all *exactly* the same underneath), the choice between different manufacturers boils down to bundle (special features) and looks...

That and memory used i would say LeadTek has a nice card on the way in cooling and looks. Seems most manufatures are using dual fans now.

Have you seen Leadtek's card yet?

Sure we can guess it looks a lot like their GeForceFX 5800 Ultra implementation, but seeing is believing...;)

I think I am going to skip the 5900, I will wait until Nvidia does something about it's poor AA and Image Quality.

I will wait for the nv40 r400

but I've never liked MSI's designs, I wonder if asus will have one out soon?

As i hate cases with windows and dont own one, i also dont care much of how parts look, but the Chaintech ones are just cool!

That's Gainward's card. I surely don't want one of those. They put a soundcard and a IEEE1394card with it, which I personally do not need and sell it for a 'tad' more... (price on Gainward is 699 euro's!)

And they still claim good value for money...:eek2:

Oh yes, and you can also buy the Gainward card with watercooling for just a 'small' extra...

899 (!) euro's...OMG

I don't own a windowed case (have a nice black Lian-Li PC86) but I still find it important how it looks, don't know why, but it still is a feature...

Yeah, Gainward cards are a joke, they look stupid and wtf with 650Euros price? Are they ****ing crazy? Who needs some ****ty sound card, if you're buying top of the line video you surely have top of the line sound... lol their incopetence is impressive.

Well, it might be nice if you're building yourself an entirely new rig, but other than that....

My pick would be between Asus, MSI and Leadtek... (safe bets)

Hey, me, I'm in to women as well, but when you have found the one you were searching for, you tend to find the next best thing (3D cards....) ;)
