I just installed this and I'm considering switching back to version 8.5. I'm not liking the look of this version at all, and where is the send button in chat windows? I usually hit enter but I've always liked having that too. Also very annoying that in XP-64 you have to go get the individual msi installers to get the thing to install, you can't just go to the Live Messenger site these days.

What does everyone else think of this new version? I don't really like it.

Install the latest one, go to help and then about and you'll see the version info, it's also called Version 2009.

I like the new version. I've been using the 2009 beta for a bit now (just updated today to .206 version) and I like it. I don't need a "send" button....who takes their hand off the keyboard, moves the mouse to the send button, and clicks when you can press enter....

Of course though msn sucks unless you apply A-Patch to it to get rid of all the stupid advertisements. If there's one thing I hate in life is unnecessary advertisements.

I used to use the send button all the time for sending links. Copy, paste, send all with the mouse hand. It's not a huge deal, but I like having that button. My other hand is usually "busy" when I'm hitting the send button via mouse. lol

You use the mouse to copy-paste? See there's your problem. Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V ftw.

the new version is ok but it takes more time to connect on slow connections (128 kbps or so) but fine for speed above 512 kbps!

To be a little more clear I don't use the mouse to copy and paste all the time. However from time to time when I'm feeling lazy or my other hand is say scratching my ass I like to hit send on something I've pasted into a chat window.
