View Full Version : Good news for TF2 and L4D players

The nvidia beta 182.05 has fixed multicore issues with tf2 for me and others are reporting less stuttering in L4D. Valve is supposedly adding in proper mulit core support with the scout update.

Once you get them installed you have to enable mat_queue_mode 2 in tf2, but it is now stable, and I haven't had a single crash. By enabling both cores I get an increase of 15 fps average.

I can't wait to get back my P5e from RMA and try this on my e8400@3.5 (nana2)

Boosts performance in several 3D applications. The following are examples of improvements measured with Release 182.05 WHQL drivers vs. Release 181.22 WHQL drivers (results will vary depending on your GPU, system configuration, and game settings):
o Up to 8% performance increase in Fallout 3 at high resolution and AA.

i bought L4D on the weekend when i already had 182.05 beta's install and it ran good with multicore support on. maybe the 182.06 WHQL will even be better. they claim up to 10% increase over 181.22 :)
