I am very new to linux so any help would be appreciated.

I am working my way through the manuals of Red Hat to learn as I go and I have managed to download and install the nForce linux drivers on the NVIDIA website.

This allowed my system to recognise that I have an ethernet adapter but now when I try to activate it, by pressing the activate button in the Network Adminstration Tool, it gives the message:

"nvnet device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization."

Is there something that I am doing wrong, and how can this be fixed.

Thankyou

Daniel

Log in as root (from the command-line: su -l).
Type: /sbin/modprobe nvnet

And then try that again.

I set up an 8RGA+ last night, so I _know_ the networking works in Linux on that, and I'd assume the 8RDA+ isn't too different.

I'll be posting a set-up guide soon, I hope.
