Terminator2 Extreme DVD Edition troubles

I just got the new release of T2 and, its awsome, but chapters 48,49, and 50 won't play :( my DVDrom just sits there and seeks forever. I've never had problems with my DVDrom w/ any other movie.

I've exchanged the DVD out thinking maybe i got a bad disk, but the replacement is doing the exact same thing. :(

help, anyone have any ideas?

Haven't tried that DVD, but I had a problem with the recently released Pianist. At 1:18:00 and 1:20:00 it freezes and can't be unfrozen unless you chapter skip and rewind to the part again. Not sure if it's my player or the DVD itself... I threw away the receipt though.

If yours is having trouble playing those chapters, I'd take it back. I doubt that's a problem that every copy of T2 is having.

yeah thats what i thought, but i've already taken it back and got a replacement. :( and it still won't play them.

You should probably check if there's a firmware update for your drive, that could fix it.

I've been looking all day :( Pioneer's site is not easy to navigate, and not easy to find stuff on.

well i guess its true. I returned my replacement and, w00t! this copy works!

its odd that i picked up 2 identically flawed DVDs in a row, before finding a good one. I was nearly about to blame my dvd-rom! :P

Good the hear you got it working :) I remember when I bought The Matrix on DVD, WinDVD had a problem which would loop in the first chapter, which they later fixed ;)
