You can download either 32bit or 64bit Windows Vista Service Pack 2 Release Candicate (Build 16670.090130-1715 v.286) at NGOHQ.com.

Installation went fine on my system without needed Microsoft's System Update Readiness Tool (KB947821). :)
I'd rather stick to Win7 beta than some leak.

Windows 7 beta is not release candicate yet.
Windows 7 beta is not release candicate yet.
Win7 is straight from MS and not a leak.

Thanks Athlon, won't install for me though with or without the readiness update. No biggie, mine runs sweet anyway.

I don't understand why someone would want to install a RC service pack.

If it checks out, this could be the official release.
Benchmarks or comments needed. :)
This has been available on MSDN for a couple of weeks I believe.

Just noticed Vista SP2 RC is released on MSDN and Technet yesterday, I downloaded it and is the exactly same build 16670.090130-1715 v.286 as leaked Vista SP2 RC on NGOHQ.com. Microsoft spokeman confirmed Vista SP2 RC will be release to the public next week.

So it no point waiting for official release from Microsoft since it the same build as leaked one.
Dont be pussies, download it now!
well, i still like my updates direct via windows update lol
i have installed tedious updates that had to be undone before. real big PITA, so i can wait a week lol.

Fixing Vista doesn't make financial sense for Microsoft.
Is it just a collection of security updates for the OEM's?
