Sometimes i wish the KPA were a little smarter and sharper. I have become so adept at stalking and dispencing my prey that they cease to challenge me anymore. Just once i would like for them to take notice of me or investigate when i knock down a barrel accidentally or when i step on a branch.

Dam i love this game.

Try out the Delta mode :)

Even Delta is pretty easy if you sneak all the time... it is a lot harder if you run n' gun though.

That's what I'm noticing... playing through it again, though on Delta. So far using stealth it's rather easy... you just got to remain "stealth". I just took on like 10 koreans... wasn't easy, cause I'd be in cloak mose and pop one... and that uses all your suit energy. The other koreans started scrambling to find me, barely had time to slip away (I'm prone most of the time), several times they saw me and started popping off shots- nearly died a few times. :( Got away just in time, allowed the suit to charge, then back into cloak mode.

Lotta' fun. Especially that my rig can now play the game 100% maxed, plus some extras (2xAA in-game, 8xAF "enhanced" via driver control panel) and it has remained completely playable for me. I likey. (nana2)

Dude, i am on delta mode and they are still not smart enough :D I have already completed it once on delta mode.

What i do is i pick them of one by one. I get into position in cloaked, aim down my reflex sights, switch into maximum strength, shoot guy in head with a single shot and because that just uses a bit of energy and cloak again and move to a different position. If i have two guys in sight then i would use automatic fire mode but i always have the silencer one and in most instances i always switch to strength mode before firing so that i can clak away.

There's an AI mod just for that somewhere- makes them quite a lot smarter, supressing you with their fire and what not. Combined with Delta = win.

That's a clever idea... I'll probably have to give that ago and see how much better it'll work. :)

Thanks. :D

Cheers for the heads up on that fella :headbang:

Edit: Is there just one definte AI mod or is there a collection of them. If the latter then which one is the best or displays the most fightingly realistic AI.

Cheers.

That's exactly what I do :)

And the good thing is on the first couple of levels, you can basically just speed run away or through some areas without picking up too much damage and they don't chase you if you go a long distance away :D

Sack that man :D I don't feel comfortable knowing that there are still KPA alive on a level. Those guys are my prey (they belong to me) and every single one of them must die so that i can use their skulls for my trophies ;) I just don't feel as if i have gotten my games and moneys worth unless i am sure every single SOB KPA are dead :rw:

Already done that my first run through ;)

Now, I am playing through it again and using minimal force.

Sneaking and running past is just as fun ;)

Maybe you are stunning them instead of killing them.

Also, it's best to shoot and attract attention and then cloak and wait to attack them all and then cloak again and repeat until they're dead. Works every time!

Oh my goodness.

This game is sooo ridiculously easy on Delta difficulty I don't know how anyone could be having trouble with it.

I found myself having to make the game harder, by refusing to use cloak and so on, just to make the game challenging and fun.

One thing I know for sure is that there is no respawning in Crysis. Enemies will come from way for off and reinforce if they hear a battle, but they are not spawned from nothing.

If you don't like cloak, don't use it. The game can be played Rambo/Quake style from start to finish, if you want. I did that on my first playthrough... then I played through on Delta and snuck around.

It's a demanding engine, but FAR from unoptimized. If you think it's not optimized you are seriously insane.

Agreed.

I hardly use cloak ever . Or armor mode. 80% i'm in speedmode which is the most awesome.

You wait till you hear 'im reloading' , watch your map thingy, and run like lightning, knock them over, run past them and shoot them in the back, run very fast and jump over them and shoot them in the back.
Run very fast to an enemy, grab him, and shoot the others while using him as shield.
Run very fast to an enemy, grab him, and throw him at your enemies.

Usually when i'm approaching a camp or something, i'll try to sneak for as long as possible, WITHOUT cloak. Using silenced head shots. You have to move once you shot one or two, because they will come in to your general direction. Unless i see an oppurtinity i just can't ignore, like 5 koreans in a truck.
Then i just can't resist blowing it up .

Tag everybody with the binoculars. It's pretty important for awesome gameplay to have your enemies tagged.
Shoot a couple in the head, and when i get spotted, off comes the silencer (the AK is the ultimate crap with the silencer on, i'm pretty sure it's WAY more powerfull without the silencer) and it's awesome times

To the threadstarter, grenades have very OFTEN saved my life. Since you have your enemies tagged you know where to throw them if they are shooting at you but you can't see them .
Especially on groups of enemies you should always throw 1 or 2 grenades before start shooting at them .

Really, if you like FPS's , but you can't enjoy Crysis, well then i don't know what to say. For a FPS fan it has basically everything you could want.

If you don't like Crysis, then i can't imagine you being someone who enjoys FPS.

It's either that, or you're doing it wrong .
