Okay, my terabyte hard drives are now here.

Could someone outline the exact way to install windows? I know this sounds moronic as hell, but I am sceptical if I am doing it right.

With 2x1tb at my disposal, I wish to go for a config like:

disc 1: install OS and games

disc 2: films, ISO's and whatnot.

Which OS should I use? I have both Windows XP SP3 and Vista Ultimate X64.

I wanted to get Windows 7 but I moved to late.

Does vista still have problems with X-Fi's? (I have X-Fi Titanium)

Many thanks.

Have you thought about striping them?

Use Both OS's, You cant upgrade To 7 from XP (if that's at all smart I dont know...)

Personally I'd get a different drive for the OS's because I believe its better that way, 300gb is enough for them to wallow around in with space for backups if you so choose.

My route of going about it.

Plug hard drives in
install windows
installdrivers

Is this all I need to do?

Install all relevant, mobo + chipset drivers first.
Then move on to other regular drivers(display) etc
Then move onto windows updates
