Normally i force v-sync off in the control panel but i was having horrible performance in Crysis and Far Cry 2 but in no other games. So, i tried "use the 3d application setting" in the cp and performance were back to normal when setting v-sync off ingame instead.

Is it just me or is it common knowlege that these two games care where you force v-sync off?

Yes, but it also depends on ur card too. 8000s and 9000s are different than 280s. And 280's are different then 295s.

What card do u gots?

(Im guessings a 295.) ;)

285 it is. But how is everyone suddenly suppose to know that forcing v-sync in the control panel can affect performance greatly in some games?

It should come with a big red sticker on the box!

I'd concur with any color, size, or type of notification. :beer3:
