This is using Cat 3.4 3dmark version 3.20

Look at what I renamed the executable.

I ran a test a few days before hand with the original 3dmark name and 371MHz core and 344MHz mem and scored 1875 with the same settings/drivers/version of 3dmark except my reolution was at 1024x768.

Someone suggested in the thread below this one that has anyone tested the renaming thing on an Ati card.

So here are my results.

Just to update people here, other Rage3D members have tried the same thing and haven't encountered this issue, so it looks like it was just a one-off with K.I.L.E.R's machine.

I tried running it renamed and got the same score....I did that before I posted ANYTHING about the scandal and making fun of nVidia for it just to make sure I wouldn't have to eat me words in the morning!

Glad to hear that others confirmed it though, muchly reasurring.

(BTW-Hanners, you on the hub? ;) )

Not to mention I bugged poor old OpenGL Guy to take a look. :)
Still waiting on a response.

I am uploading pics using the EXACT same settings. I still am suspicious on what is happening as the pics look like they are using AA/AF.

I will mainly be posting my results at this thread (http://www.beyond3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=127456#127456) I made in Beyond3D as those guys come up with the most logical answers.

There are other methods of detecting an executable than from filename alone you know.

Yes, I have suggested a .dll detection system and the like.
Then again I doubt you have read all my posts.
*cough* remember last time *cough*

Just found out: Something is occuring on my end of the spectrum and it is not Ati's way of playing a joke.
I'm going to go and look for answers.
