Burnout meets GRID!! Yep looks promising!

A few weeks back Disney Interactive's Black Rock studio dropped hints that it was working on a new racing title to follow up on last year's PURE. While there has not been any official announcement yet, the first footage has been released, and from the look of it Split Second will be a mix between Burnout and GRID, very promising.

TBH, it doesn't look like ingame footage.

EDIT: Definetely not ingame, but gameplay still looks cool :D

Think about it... there's been a mass push for PhysX, and isn't AMD still pushing HavoK? Regardless... I think it is *very* doable. I also feel that for it to look like that you'd have to have a pretty "top-end" rig, so I realise that it might not ship with that level of detail. Regardless, I don't see it as being impossible, just unlikely. The last game designied to push current hardware beyond the limits was Crysis- and people still complain about the game...

Indeed it looks doable. but usually they dont "do" it. Anyhow i'll keep my hopes up that they will stick to the graphics quality of the trailer.

It may not look quite like that in the end (never know really) but Pure was an excellent game so I'll keep an eye on this game.

When I first saw the vid for this on GameTrailers TV I thought that this might be the game that makes me go out and buy a wheel set up but then I remembered that like unfortunately almost any game anymore it is going to be dumbed down because it is console also.

Reminds me a lot of that 360 movie making driving game, Stuntman:Ignition. Just hope it plays better.
