Just wondering why burnout paradise is running so slow. Is it a very demanding game?

Current spec

Q9550 @ 3.6Ghz
4Gb DDR2 2X2Gb 1000mHZ
1792Mb GTX 295
2x1Tb HDD

Running @ 1920x1200 Top quality with AA.

Am I being to demanding playing at this resolution and AA? I've checked temps which are all fine and ive got latest patches for everything. Im running Vista X64.

How slow is it running? It should be pegged at about 60fps, maybe down to 55 during the crashes.

You might want to make sure you have the correct SLI profile in nhancer... go to evga.com and get the driver patch. http://www.evga.com/articles/00463/

Also turn off SSAO if you have that, and you could also turn off motion blur but you shouldn't have to.

I use 2AA in game and then 16s combined + gamma AA + transparency SS in nhancer.

Okay the problem was the SSAO. It was bringing my system down to 35-45 which was really jerky.

Its now at high quality 8xAA in game and its pegged at 60fps.

Is it still worth downloading that evga patch?

cheers

Yeah that SSAO kills my performance too, and it looks like crap.

I found that patch to improve performance during the crash sequences, which is the only time that I have noticed any slowdowns.
