Hi all,
I've been using dropbox for the better part of 4 months now and it's awesome.
The details: http://www.getdropbox.com - view the screencast or take a tour
If you'd like to try it out, send me a PM. I'll refer you and it'll increase your limit to 2.25GB, up from 2GB.
Even if you don't need the sync functionality across multiple PCs, it's a great way to be able to access your files from any internet-connected PC through a browser and to have offsite backups.

even though this guy is spamming this because they DO have a referral program, it's a great service. read alot about it. it's not as flakey as those 'cloud' web apps that store your stuff all on their servers, at least with this you have a copy on your pc as well.
normally i ban spammers and ads, but i am trying this and like it. so i will let this one slide.

Check his join date before you spout off again. He's been a member of this site nearly two years longer than you have.
He is a reviewer as well. All he is doing is suggesting something you guys might find useful.

Thanks MUYA and saturnotaku.
By all means, if you're interested, check it out on your own.
Yes they do have a referral program. There's nothing to hide there. Unlike most referral programs, BOTH people involved benefit by getting an extra 250MB.
Now, with that out of the way...
I'm loving the service and use it daily as a collaboration tool between co-workers working on the same project. Everyone I've showed it to has found it really cool and useful.
Hell, I'm even using this with my non-techy Uncle to share plans for my home renovations. Much quicker then "Hey, I sent you an email of the file, check it out.... Yes, click on the attachment, click save, put it on the desktop, go to your desktop, and open it... OK I made some more changes, check your email again. Repeat..."

Dropbox is a great way to synch/backup your KeePass passwords database. That's really all I use it for.

Wow this looks amazing, will try it out thanks!
I have been using this service for a year and it is by far the BEST service I have ever gotten. I am still using the free version (I only have used 44% of my free 2GB). If any of you have multiple PC's (e.g. a desktop and a laptop) and have multiple files you want to keep synchronized between the two, then this service is an absolute life saver.
If you guys sign up, use the referral at the top. It gives both of us an extra 250MB :)
EDIT: Removed referral.

Funny how you've gone from calling my initial post "spammer and ads", to digging up a year old post and now updating it with your referral link.

HEY YOU'RE HERE!
I wanted to thank you for posting this. Best thing I have ever gotten. :D
I will pull down my referral link. You should put yours up.

I don't need the links. Please re-add your referral and enjoy the rewards.
By the way, why is everyone so touchy? Excuse me for thinking the post looked like spam initially.
And we have had members who have been here for years all of a sudden post a bunch of trash due to either not caring or having their accounts "hacked" (aka taken over due to weak passwords).

It's easy to jump to conclusions these days when spam is everywhere.
