Are you talking about the free UT3 play weekend or the full version?

I think this is a great way to get people interested in UT3 but I couldn't justify the long download times lol. By the time your download was done, the free play weekend would be over with.

yap, that is the biggest problem with this idea. they should let people download lets say 2 weeks ahead of the free weekend.

They let you preload since the beginning of this week!

I downloaded it on another one of my PC's today and it was really fast 1.9MB/s, last week was horrible.

Good thing im on university internet, I was able to download it at 6 megs per second, was done in half a hour.

Played the game a few, still feels the same then I got bored of it.

I dunno, I was disappointing when the game was first relseased, so I gave it another shot with the new patch and I am addicted. Being a titan and blowing everything up is so much fun :D

Yeah since last patch it's awesome. I bought an additional copy for Steam so I don't have to use the DVD to install anymore.

UT3 should be able to activate on Steam, or was it some sort of special key you had?
Itīs on the list of games you can "move over" to steam anyway.

How does the titan mutator work? What do I have to do to become a titan?

+1, I'd like to know this as well.

yea you can click activate Steam game and enter your UT3 code. Congrats on having a second copy, its well worth the $12 they are asking for this week. Hell since you didnt activate the retail copy into steam you can sell it. Then again, you never needed the DVD in the drive anyways to play...

Played it quite a bit yesterday (while waiting for Left4Dead to download), was good times with no issues.
Haven't decided on buying it yet though.

It wasn't launching for me yesterday (a common problem) but today was fine.

I almost finished dl'ing it last weekend but didn't manage it till the free ended so I deleted it...

You have to play on servers that have the Titan mutators.

On the lower right hand corner of your screen you will see a little bar that fills up as you get kills, when you get 20 or so, you press R and you become huge and stomp around on people :D

One day down the road you might be happy you have a physical copy, you never know...

Those are the words of a bitter Steam user heading back to retail though.

They still require Steam to play, and the retail hardcopy does not, which was more what I was getting at.

I went ahead and grabbed it while it was still on sale, for the price I am sure I will get enough use out of it to make it worth it.

Really? The first thing that the FEAR 2 (retail DVD) installer did was to check for Steam. Some goes for Empire for example.

Yes, but UT3 does not... Steam integration is optional.
