OMG! The mother of all graphics cards [ ;-) ] is being showcased in a very cool teaser trailer by Hardware-Tweaker.de.
The card is one Voodoo 5 6000 Rev. 3700. They are showing short clips of Quake 3 and 3DMark2K1. According to the website even 8x FSAA is working flawlessly. They plan to post a full feature review soon. Go and check it out!

wow... i just saw the movie, and i have to say, that thing is massive!!! the movie shows shots of the card, (even inside the system) as well as games, and overclocking...
i dont think that would EVER fit in my case....

Full review? It was dead and buried years ago ;)

That video is funny though, the size of the card is absolutely insane, and in comparison to cards around today it's sluggish as hell.

I am reminded of it looking at the 5800 Ultra, but, TBH the 5800 competes a lot better than the V5 6000 did.

Some company called Quantum or Quantum 3d or something actaully made a board with 32 VSA-100 processors and had them for sale. If I remember correctly it was all on one board, bigger than a full size mobo today. I think it had like 1 gig of RAM...

Quantum 3d is the bestist company in the world!

Back in the day they made a Voodoo2 board, that was 2x voodoo's in 1!!!! Best buy actually started to carry them, but by that time the voodoo3's came out.

Well, I was running 2 STB Blackmagic Voodoo 2's in SLI and in a lot of cases it was faster than my Voodoo 3 3000 :p

I'm not joking when I say this, I was stuck behind my computer for over a week just trying out different games with 3d acceleration!!

Quantum3D also made a board with 4 or 5 Voodoo's, with an extra controller on the side...

Those were the days...

one huge-ass card
looked sweet, back when i was using a rage pro and single voodoo2 card.....

i often wondered why graphics card companies never really supported this in cards after voodoo2. cause just like with voodoo2, there'll always be peeps with enough money to buy two of a high end card and hook them together. or even budget cards, to increase power. i guess it would be expensive tho...sigh.

lol...read thru the review more...it was actually two seperate voodoo2 boards joined at one end with the main controller and other parts. it ran so hot, they put a case fan right next to it to blow air on it to cool it. yup....those days, with 1024x768 max res gaming, and 2 mhz overclocks were the days.
edit: retailed for 599.95.....damn. guess thats why sli isn't around nowadays.

well after the voodoo2 was released, agp pretty much became a standard... and mobo's only have one agp...
