Is now a good time to buy a 260?

I've had my eye on a BFG 260 Maxcore OCX for a few weeks now watching its price go up and down. Unfortunately its up again this week :( I thought the 270 cards were due out in a couple of weeks... surely they will push down the 260 prices? What do I do? Grab the 260 next time its going cheap or wait and see where the 270 fits in the lineup of prices?

EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 SSC - 55nm w/ Mirror's Edge is 265 bucks right now, and 270 is supposedly out in April, that's less than 2 weeks away. If you can wait 2 more weeks, your patience might earn you a well worth wait. No doubt that 260 is a very good card indeed but as it is inevitably true in all electronics businesses, prices fall as time passes. If I were you, I'd wait, however the ultimate decision is yours.

You can get a BFG GTX 260-216 right now for $179 which sounds like a good deal to me.

Hmmm, the news pages suggest the price of the 275 will be US$229-$279... so I reckon when its released in the uk it'll be more than I'm willing to spend... am tempted to get the 216 GTX260...

Weeeeeee :D I did it... Went for a Palit 260GTX 216 sonic in the end... got it for a great price... plus its factory oc to 625/2200 and hopefully I can get it up to 700/2400... Now just need to wait for postman... tap tap tap tap....
